ChantReverb is a sensory-based artist whose work draws from Chinese heritage, philosophy, and everyday life. Rooted in the traditions of Chan and I Ching, her practice explores themes of humanity, motherhood, peace, and the interconnectedness of all things. Her installations combine traditional materials like rice paper and ink with objects from Chinese minority cultures, creating immersive, textured experiences.
ChantReverb works across mediums from calligraphy to sound, video, and digital forms and resists rigid definitions of discipline. Influenced by traditional Chinese medicine and Daoist thinking, she approaches art holistically, treating each piece as an invitation to feel, rather than over-intellectualize. Her aim is to awaken the senses and sharpen presence in a world oversaturated by language and information.
A gifted colorist, ChantReverb views color through relational dynamics like Tai Chi or quantum entanglement using it to deepen emotional resonance. Central to her creative process is the continual learning of new tools, skills, and forms of expression. For her, every new material or discipline opens new pathways: one sense inspires another, one language leads to a second. She also incorporates digital technologies, transforming captured moments into poetic reminders of how much exists beyond the screen.
ChantReverb’s evolving practice is a call to live attentively with curiosity, openness and reverence for the unseen.
